I put the colors in a graph machine
I wanted something not quite as obscene
Communications, one star town
So used to doing things the bad bone way
So very worried what the message will say
The Loose Fit Mafia gets around
I feel as if I'm strung on a clothesline
I either drip or die, there's no compromise
I'm criticized for being egocentric
I'm only here to hand out party favors
But he can't see behind the setting sun sometimes
He walks out, walks out, at least you tried
You tried
The presentation of a kickflip man
Visage ambiguous, committed to brand
His hair so luscious opposed to crowds
I kind of wanna come off more like him
A carbon copy of the city he's in
Under construction starting now
We took a dip and came back half alive
With special kicks jumped higher than we had before
Now in the streets we dance in silver tights
I am a traitor, guess I'll see you later, later
He can't see behind the setting sun sometimes
He walks out, walks out, at least you tried
There is a lot to hear here and unsurprisingly it's a mixed bag, but Passing Strange's stunning arrangement of "Tourniquet" blows me away. They make it sound like it was ALWAYS a piano ballad, and their contribution was to rock it up with lively drums. summer villain
The UK upstarts' debut veers from sunny, psychedelic folk to bristling post-punk with reckless abandon without ever missing a beat. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 18, 2024
